Product Overview
The Lee Products Company model 600R Jr. Pea and Bean Sheller is a kitchen appliance engineered for efficient removal of peas and beans from their pods. Constructed with high-grade steel and aluminum, and equipped with durable nylon gears, this sheller offers dual operational modes: manual via an included hand-crank, or powered by attachment to an electric hand mixer (medium speed) or a lightweight electric drill (slow speed) for increased processing speed. Its non-adjustable serrated rollers are designed to effectively shell varieties such as purple hull, black-eyed, cream 40's, and ripe lima beans. The unit clamps securely to surfaces ranging from 0.75 inches to 1.75 inches thick, making it suitable for temporary mounting on tables or workbenches. It is optimized for processing approximately one quart per batch, or up to a bushel in about 30 minutes.
