This stair edging, M-D Building Products model 66269, is constructed from durable aluminum with a matte black finish. Measuring 1-1/8 inches wide by 1-1/8 inches deep and 36 inches long, it is designed to cover and protect the edges of interior stair steps, preventing wear and tear on carpeted or hard surfaces. It also helps prevent vinyl stair surfaces from curling. Installation is accomplished using the included 1-1/4 inch, 13 gauge screw nails, suitable for securing the edging to wood floors or concrete floors (with separately sold wooden pegs). The profile can be cut to length with a hacksaw. This edging is recommended for interior residential stair applications with high foot traffic and is not intended for outdoor use.
