The Makita 18 V LXT brushless cordless 1/2 in Mixer is a cordless solution ideal for mixing drywall mud, plaster, drilling large holes and much more. The variable speed trigger allows the user to adjust the speed to 0 to 350 rpm or 0 to 1300 rpm for optimum speed control for the material or application. A soft start suppresses start-up reaction for more control and better accuracy. For added durability in harsh job site conditions, Extreme Protection Technology (XPT) is engineered for improved dust and water resistance and a protective cover helps prevent battery (sold separately) contamination from mixing compound splash back. It's part of Makita's expanding 18 V Lithium-Ion system, the world's largest cordless tool system powered by 18 V Lithium-Ion slide-style batteries. Makita 18 V Lithium-Ion batteries have the fastest charge times in their categories, so they spend more time working and less time sitting on the charger. For improved tool performance and extended battery life, Makita created Star Protection Computer Controls. Star Protection is communication technology that allows the Star Protection-equipped tool and battery to exchange data in real time and monitor conditions during use to protect against overloading, over-discharging and overheating.
