When not in use an integrated flip up cover protects the inlet from unwanted moisture and dust with a watertight seal. When connecting shore power, the cover flips up and remains open to allow boaters single handed connection to shore power. To further guard the connection when in use, the locking ring is engineered to form a watertight seal when used with cords with an Easy Lock sealing ring, but is also compatible with conventional threaded lock rings. Contact blades nickel plated brass to provide maximum corrosion resistance while minimizing electrical resistance. The rear housing protects wiring using glass-fiber reinforced flame resistant polyester and can be rotated to make wire routing easier.
