Product Overview
This aluminum clamp shaft anode, CMXC04A, is engineered to ensure complete shaft contact. Clamp insert ensures a tight fit for the duration of the anode s life. Bolt retaining washers prevent the anode from falling off and help with installation underwater. Stainless steel hardware and lock washers included. Anode selection guide: Advantages of aluminum anodes: Used in saltwater, aluminum anodes last longer and protect better than zinc. Used in brackish water, aluminum anodes are superior to zinc which can passivate" and not work at all, or magnesium anodes, which corrode to rapidly. Aluminum anodes are also lighter than zinc and do not contain cadmium, a substance of environmental concern.
