Product Overview
The Maxwell Marine RC8-8 Vertical Windlass (mfr code: RC8812V) is an automatic rope/chain anchor windlass constructed from marine-grade 316 stainless steel and a hard-anodized alloy gearbox. Operating on 12V DC, it provides a maximum pull of 1320 lbs (600 kg) and a working load of 440 lbs (200 kg). It accommodates 5/16" (8mm) HT or BBB short link marine chain and 9/16" to 5/8" (14-16mm) 3-strand or 8-plait rope. The patented Maxwell Wave Design™ chainwheel handles varied chain pitches and reduces rope wear. Designed for easy installation, the low-profile unit features a self-aligning gearbox and allows the motor to be oriented in 10 positions. It includes a dual-direction solenoid, breaker panel, up/down panel switch, and emergency handle for manual override and free-fall anchoring. Suitable for boats 28 to 45 feet (9 to 14 meters
