The Motor Guard BP-4005 backing plate provides stable support for abrasive discs during aggressive sanding and grinding operations. Constructed from a reinforced phenolic composite material, this 5-inch diameter plate features a 7/8-inch arbor hole for attachment to power tools and has a thickness of 0.064 inches. It is precision-balanced to minimize vibration and offers ultra-flat faces for consistent finishes. Designed with heavy-duty riveted hubs and a regular profile, it is compatible with various abrasive grits and pad hardnesses. The backing plate is rated for a maximum operating speed of 10,000 RPM.
