The NABCO PAPC0403 PEX Reducing Coupling is designed to join two PEX pipes of differing nominal sizes, specifically a 3/4-inch PEX pipe to a 1/2-inch PEX pipe. Constructed from Polyphenylsulfone (PPSU), a high-performance plastic, this coupling offers excellent strength, high heat resistance, and chemical durability, making it suitable for demanding plumbing and heating system environments. It is resistant to damage from corrosive water and various chemicals. The fitting utilizes crimpsert connections, compatible with ASTM F1807 compliant crimp rings or stainless steel clamps. Tested and certified by NSF International, it meets rigorous standards for potable water systems, including NSF/ANSI 14 for plastic piping components and NSF/ANSI 61 for health effects in drinking water applications. This makes it approved for use in both hot and cold potable water distribution and radiant heating systems.
