(NDS) U-2500-S PVC Schedule 80 Slip Union is designed to connect two sections of pipe, providing a removable and leak-resistant connection in pressurized fluid systems. Constructed from gray polyvinyl chloride (PVC), this fitting features thicker walls than Schedule 40 PVC, resulting in enhanced strength and higher pressure ratings. It accommodates a 2-1/2" nominal pipe size and utilizes slip (solvent weld) connections on both ends, requiring primer and solvent cement for installation. The union incorporates a gasket seal, often EPDM, to ensure a watertight bond. Suitable for applications where operating temperatures do not exceed 140°F (60°C), it offers resistance to corrosion and various chemicals. This type of fitting is typically manufactured in compliance with ASTM D1784 and D1785 standards and is often NSF certified for potable water use (NSF/ANSI 14, 61, 372
