Product Overview
This threaded union, part number U-3000-T from National Diversified Sales Inc., is constructed from Schedule 80 gray Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) and designed for joining 3-inch nominal pipe size sections. Schedule 80 PVC has a thicker wall, making it suitable for higher pressure applications up to 140 degrees Fahrenheit. The threaded ends facilitate easy installation, disassembly, and reassembly of pipe components, allowing for maintenance without cutting the pipeline. This fitting is specifically designed for use in chemical processing, industrial plating, chilled water distribution, deionized water lines, chemical drainage, and wastewater treatment systems. It complies with ASTM D1784, ASTM D2464 (for threaded fittings), ASTM D2467, and ANSI B1.20.1 standards, and is NSF approved for potable water applications. An EPDM O-ring typically provides a watertight seal. This product is not recommended for compressed air or gas systems.
