This scale shield provides superior limescale prevention and corrosion control within the water heater and plumbing system. It contains a water conditioning cartridge that creates a scale-inhibiting solution for use with tankless water heaters. This replacement cartridge is compatible with all Noritz models that feature a capacity of 9.8 GPM or lower.

- The overall level of protection will depend on the quality and chemistry of the cold supply water, replace the cartridge when it is dissolved near the bottom of the housing
- Follow cartridge replacement procedures and clean the feed holes taking care not to tip the cartridge to one side
- The feed holes on the cartridge will need to be periodicallycleaned
- Cartridges should last 6-12 months on most residential applications
