Product Overview
The NSP EX100055 ESC886C is a non-handed storeroom lever trim with an escutcheon designed for exterior use with surface-mounted exit devices. It provides storeroom functionality, allowing free egress from the interior at all times, while requiring a key to retract the latch bolt for entry from the exterior. The trim features a die-cast zinc lever and escutcheon, often paired with a steel, zinc dichromated chassis, and incorporates a free-wheeling clutch mechanism to deter forced entry attempts. It includes a 1-1/4" mortise cylinder with a Schlage C keyway, commonly known as SC1, which is a widely used open keyway. The finish is US26D Satin Chrome (BHMA 626), a durable brushed matte chrome plating suitable for commercial interior applications. This trim is ADA compliant (ANSI A117.1) and meets ANSI A156.3 Grade 1 standards for exit device trim, indicating high performance and durability. It is designed for installation on standard 1-3/4" thick doors with a 2-1/8" 161 door preparation.
