The Ocean Signal rescueME EPIRB3 (mfr code: 702S-03932) is a Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (GMDSS) approved Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon designed for marine safety. It transmits a 406 MHz digital distress signal to the Cospas-Sarsat satellite system and a 121.5 MHz homing signal for local rescuers. Integrated Automatic Identification System (AIS) broadcasts VHF signals to nearby vessels, while Return Link Service (RLS) provides visual confirmation of distress message receipt. The beacon incorporates GNSS (GPS, Galileo, Glonass) for positioning accurate within 100 meters, along with visible and infrared strobe lights. Near Field Communication (NFC) enables smartphone app diagnostics for battery life and self-test data. With a 10-year battery life and over 48 hours of operational use, it is waterproof to 33 feet (10 meters) for 5 minutes and includes a Category two manual release mounting bracket. Dimensions are 6.8" H x 3.6" W x 3.1" D (17.27 x 9.14 x 7.87 cm) without antenna, weighing 0.42 lbs (190 g).
