Oxium LLC MICRO05 MicroGlass is a liquid product designed to stabilize and densify cement and Portland-based materials for pool and spa finishes. This colloidal silica-based solution penetrates the surface matrix of new and existing plaster, quartz, pebble, gunite, and concrete. It chemically converts soft calcium hydroxide into hardened, water-impermeable calcium silicate, which aids in the curing and hydration of new finishes. The stabilizer reduces porosity and strengthens the material to mitigate issues such as crazing, etching, mottling, and premature deterioration. It also helps preserve color, minimize plaster dust, and simplify water chemistry management. MicroGlass is vapor permeable, non-toxic, and free of VOCs, supplied in a 5-gallon bucket.
