Product Overview
The 253 Series Half Saddle Threshold is designed to fill offset floors by 1/2" to create a transition between different floor surfaces. Constructed from aluminum and brass, this threshold measures 3" in width, 1/2" in height, and 36" in length. It is suitable for residential and commercial door hardware applications. The threshold features an integrated channel for connecting thermal keys and is supplied with wood screws, though other fasteners are available for specific installation requirements. It is fire rated and meets UL 10C positive pressure and UL 4L10 listing standards. The threshold is ADA compliant when butted to a 1/2" offset and meets ANSI/BHMA A117.1 and ANSI/BHMA A156.21 standards. This unit can be custom cut to size between 24" and 185" and has a weight of 0.56 lbs. The mill finish bronze appearance provides a functional surface for doorways, and the design allows it to be used with other half saddles to create custom size and configuration saddles.
