Product Overview
The 253 Series Half Saddle Threshold is designed to create a smooth transition between different floor surfaces, effectively filling an offset of 1/2". This threshold is constructed from a combination of aluminum and brass, providing a stable base for doorways. It features a width of 3" and an overall height of 1/2", with a total length of 36". The threshold includes an integrated channel for connecting thermal keys and is suitable for both commercial and residential door hardware applications. It is fire rated and meets UL 10C positive pressure and UL 4L10 listing requirements. The design is ADA compliant when butted to a 1/2" offset, adhering to ANSI/BHMA A117.1 and A156.21 standards. This threshold can be custom cut to size between a minimum length of 24" and a maximum length of 185". It is installed using the included WS No.10 x 1.5" wood screws, though other fasteners are available for specific mounting needs.
