Clamps IG Units and Stacks Up To

4" (102 mm) Thick

For Sealing Hot Melt Butyl Unit of unlimited length & stacks up to 4 inches thick with heavy duty steel construction. The Hot Melt Clamp Table has the same construction as a PST Ball Caster Table with the addition of a tubular framed clamping unit that consists of a stabilizer bar unit on the bottom. Clamping is achieved by a horizontal bar powered by a 4" bore x 2" stroke pneumatic cylinder activated by a hand lever on the frame bottom. The upper clamping head is a horizontal bar lined with a 1" x 1" strip of closed cell, 40 durometer Shore " A " neoprene rubber. The upper clamping head is powered by a 2" bore x 8" stroke pneumatic cylinder actuated by a foot pedal switch. The clamp table is used at the sealing station for hot melt gunning of insulated units. The stabilizing bar comes up from the bottom and the clamp head comes down from the top to secure the glass and spacer along one edge for the sealant application. The clamping unit must be released and the IG Unit rotated 90 degrees and re-clamped to seal each side of the IG Unit. The table requires a compressor capable of providing 100 psi air at 2 cfm.
Other features:
Advantage: With the Hot Melt Clamp Table a user is able to fabricate IG Units of unlimited lengths by moving the unit laterally until the entire length is sealed. The Clamp Table also has the capability of seal stacks of IG Units up the 4" thick.
Important Notes: Always wear the proper protective safety gear when handling glass. Failure to do so can result in injury.
