POLAFLEX HUB from PolaStorm interchangeable Hub Kit is a high-quality rubber (rather than plastic) propeller bush that aids in easier gear changing, vibration reduction, and impact deflection. They have brass bronze splines, not aluminum like other cheap ones. Polaflex can be fit to the appropriate propeller unit. It a well-designed to accommodate all Polastorm propellers, as well as Solas, Michigan Wheel, Turning Point, and Mercury propeller blade components. Always lubricate the propeller shaft before installation. The hub of a propeller is well-positioned within the barrel, which is the cylinder that houses the prop blades. The hub connects the propeller to the shaft of an outboard or sterndrive motor. A splined metal insert in the hub's center aligns with the splines on the propeller shaft.
