The total Alkalinity Increaser raises the total alkalinity and helps buffer the pH of the pool water. Large shifts in pH due to low total alkalinity can result in corrosion or scaling of pool surfaces or equipment. The total alkalinity should be maintained between 60-120 ppm (for pools treated with Pool Breeze products).
