Product Overview
The Pro-Flex PERSR-0114 Pro-Poly Anodeless Gas Riser facilitates the transition from underground polyethylene (PE) gas piping to above-ground metal piping, typically for gas meter or regulator connections. This factory-assembled riser is designed for natural gas and LP (propane) applications, featuring a 1-1/4" IPS (Iron Pipe Size) connection for PE pipe and a 1-1/4" MPT (Male Pipe Thread) connection for steel pipe. It consists of a PE pipe encased within a protective Schedule 40 or 80 steel tubing sheath, with an epoxy coating for corrosion resistance, which eliminates the need for cathodic protection below ground. The unit is rated for a maximum operating pressure of 125 psi and operates within a temperature range of -20°F to 180°F. It meets or exceeds ASTM D2513 Category 1 and ASTM F1973 specifications, and complies with national and local gas codes including NFPA 54/ANSI Z223.
