The Pro-Flex PFARCT-1225 Flak Jacket Arc-Resistant Corrugated Stainless Steel Tubing (CSST) is a flexible gas piping solution designed for both natural gas and LP (propane) gas installations in residential and commercial applications. The tubing is constructed from Type 304 stainless steel and features a 1/2 inch inner diameter with a 25-foot coil length. It is covered by a black, carbon-filled polyethylene jacket that is arc-resistant, dissipating electricity to provide enhanced protection against electrical arcing from lightning strikes or faults. This annealed tubing simplifies installation, reducing the need for numerous fittings compared to rigid pipe systems. It is listed to CSA/ANSI LC1 including Section 5.16 for Arc Resistant Covering, and recognized by national model codes such as NFPA-54, IFGC, and UPC. The tubing has a maximum working pressure of 5 PSIG and an operating temperature range of -20°F to 200°F. While typically used for indoor installations, it can be utilized outdoors, underground, ormbedded in concrete when properly routed within a non-metallic, watertight conduit.
