The difference between a half dummy and a full dummy door lever is in their functionality and placement: Half Dummy: This type of lever is non-functional and is typically used on one side of a door. It’s often used for doors that don’t need a latch, like closet doors or pantry doors. The Kwikset 788CHLLH-3 is a half dummy lever, meaning it will only be installed on one side of the door. Full Dummy: This type of lever includes two non-functional levers, one on each side of the door. It’s used for double doors or doors where you want the appearance of a functional lever on both sides, but without the need for a latch mechanism.
