Inlet (Suction):The side port of the pump (located horizontally on the front housing) is the inlet. This is where water enters the pump from the pool (via the skimmer or main drain). Outlet (Discharge):The top port (located vertically on the top of the pump housing) is the outlet. This is where water exits the pump and goes to the filter or return jets.
