1K (one‑component): Ready to use straight from the can. No mixing with a catalyst or hardener. Dries/cures by solvent evaporation or air‑dry chemistry. Easier to apply, but generally less durable. 2K (two‑component): Requires mixing the base product with a hardener/activator before application. Chemical cross‑linking occurs during curing, giving higher durability, chemical resistance, and hardness. Pot life is limited — once mixed, it must be used within a set time.
