The difference between the Ultra Nordic MERV 16 and the standard Nordic MERV 16 filter is that the Ultra version is built with 2.5× more filtration media and a reinforced two‑part frame, giving it higher durability, longer life, and better capture of ultrafine particles. The regular MERV 16 provides strong filtration, but the Ultra is engineered for medical offices, allergy‑sensitive homes, and environments with smoke or pollution where maximum contaminant reduction is needed.
