Under the Americans with disabilities act a change in elevation greater than 1/4" is considered a trip hazard. the Brixwell Stop Strip presents a 3/8" bumper across the center of the doorway. Is there an exception to this being considered a trip hazard I should be aware of before making this purchase?

Under ADA standards, a 3/8" vertical stop strip across a doorway is considered a trip hazard unless beveled. The rule is strict: changes in elevation greater than 1/4" must be beveled at a slope no steeper than 1:2, and anything above 1/2" requires a ramp. There is no blanket exception for doorway bumpers or stop strips.
