Meet ABYC standards for fuel filters with plastic sight bowls Racor heat deflectors provide a solution to meeting heat test standards. The ABYC uses the ANSI/UL 1105 heat test to set their standard for gasoline and diesel fuel filters installed within engine compartments. To be compliant, most fuel filters with plastic bowls require the addition of a heat deflector. These Racor deflectors are available to fit 500, 900 and 1000 Series Turbine fuel filter assemblies. Each includes hardware and gaskets to maintain draining functions without having to remove deflectors. If your fuel filter requires the addition of a heat deflector or if the deflector on your existing filter is damaged, this is the solution.
