A 7.8 mm drill bit diameter is recommended for MFC particle board (Richelieu Items: 916178L, 916178R), while an 8 mm drill bit is suitable for other board types.

It is not necessary to use glue but if additional strength is required glue can be added on the end boring during dowel insertion.
