Product Overview
The Sea Shield Marine SL-1000 is a zinc shaft anode collar designed to protect marine propulsion shafts and other underwater metal components from galvanic corrosion in saltwater environments. Its streamlined, football shape minimizes turbulence and drag. This anode is pressure die-cast to meet stringent Mil-Spec MIL-A-18001 standards, ensuring specific zinc purity to maintain electrochemical activity and prevent passivation. Engineered for 1" diameter shafts, it installs securely with two deep-slotted stainless steel machine screws, which provide maximum torque, and features innovative O-rings to help retain the screws during installation. It is compatible with stainless steel or bronze shafts, with the product line accommodating shaft diameters from 3/4" up to 4". The SL-1000 has a nominal length of 2" and an outer diameter of 2-1/4", weighing approximately 1.00 lb.
