Product Overview
The Sea Shield Marine SL-1375 is a zinc collar shaft anode designed to protect marine propeller shafts, struts, and other underwater metallic components from galvanic corrosion. Constructed from pressure die-cast zinc alloy, this anode is specifically formulated for optimal performance in saltwater environments and conforms to Mil-Spec MIL-A-18001 standards. This specification ensures precise material composition with a maximum 0.0014% iron content, preventing passivation and maintaining continuous electrochemical activity. Its streamlined, oval shape minimizes hydrodynamic turbulence and drag. Designed for 1-3/8" diameter shafts, it features a 2-1/2" length and 2-5/8" outside diameter. Installation is secured with two deep-slotted stainless steel machine screws, engineered for maximum torque and reliable mounting.
