Product Overview
A zinc collar shaft anode designed by Sea Shield Marine, model SL-2000, provides cathodic protection against galvanic corrosion for marine propeller shafts. This sacrificial anode is constructed from pressure die-cast zinc material, formulated for use in saltwater environments and conforming to MIL-A-18001 military specifications. Its streamlined football shape minimizes turbulence and drag on the shaft. The anode is secured with two deep-slotted stainless steel machine screws, ensuring a reliable fit for 2-inch diameter stainless steel or bronze shafts. The SL-2000 has a length of 3 inches, an outside diameter of 3-1/4 inches, and weighs 2.60 lbs.
