Product Overview
This Streamline Shaft Anode Collar, Sea Shield Marine model SL-4000, is a sacrificial zinc anode designed for cathodic protection of marine propeller shafts. Constructed from a pressure die-cast zinc alloy, it effectively prevents galvanic corrosion in saltwater environments, suitable for use with stainless steel or bronze shafts. The streamlined, oval shape is engineered to minimize turbulence and drag. It secures onto 4-inch diameter shafts using two deep-slotted stainless steel machine screws, which allow for maximum torque during installation. This anode meets stringent Mil-Spec MIL-A-18001 standards, ensuring reliable protection for marine equipment. Specific dimensions for the SL-4000 are a 4-inch inner diameter, 5-1/4 inch outer diameter, and 4-1/4 inch length.
