The SharkBite UC637LFA, also known as model 4000473, is a PEX to compression adapter designed to control water flow to household plumbing fixtures. Constructed from lead-free DZR brass, this adapter features a 1/2 inch PEX barb end that connects to PEX piping using copper crimp rings or stainless steel clamps. The opposing end is a 3/8 inch OD compression outlet, including a ferrule and compression nut, for connection to 3/8 inch OD pipes or supply lines. It is well-suited for plumbing installations involving toilets, faucets, and dishwashers. The adapter meets NSF/ANSI Standard 14-2009 and ASTM F 1807-9SI for potable water, as well as ANSI/NSF Standard 61 Annex G for lead-free compliance, containing less than 0.25% lead by weight to adhere to low-lead restrictions like AB1953 California and VT S152 Vermont.
