The SharkBite 60247 washing machine outlet box provides a recessed, one-piece connection point for appliance water supply and drainage. It features hot and cold 1/2-inch PEX push-to-connect inlets and 3/4-inch Machine Hose Thread (MHT) quarter-turn shut-off valves constructed from lead-free DZR brass. The box includes an integrated water hammer arrestor to prevent pipe noise caused by sudden changes in water pressure. Designed for center drain applications, it is compatible with PEX, copper, CPVC, PE-RT, and HDPE pipe, offering versatile installation without requiring special tools, crimping, glue, or soldering. Mounting brackets secure the unit to wall studs, and it meets UPC, IPC, cUPC, ASME A112.18.1, CSA B125.1, and IAPMO PS 54 compliance standards.
