The SharkBite UC016LF PEX Barb Coupling is designed to connect two pieces of same-sized PEX or PE-RT tubing within water distribution systems. Constructed from lead-free DZR (Dezincification Resistant) brass, this coupling offers enhanced corrosion resistance and durability. It is installed using either copper crimp rings or stainless steel clamps, requiring appropriate crimping or clamping tools. This fitting is certified for use in both potable water and hydronic heating applications. It meets NSF/ANSI 61 and NSF/ANSI 372 standards, ensuring compliance with lead-free requirements and verifying that it does not leach contaminants into drinking water. The coupling also adheres to ASTM F1807 standards. It is rated for a minimum working temperature of 33°F at 160 psi and a maximum working temperature of 200°F at 80 psi.
