The SharkBite UC118LF PEX barb x male NPT thread adapter is designed to connect PEX tubing to male NPT threaded components in water distribution and hydronic heating systems. Constructed from lead-free DZR brass (Dezincification Resistant Brass, alloy C46500), this fitting resists corrosion and dezincification. It is compatible with PEX tubing conforming to ASTM F876 and F877, as well as PE-RT tubing, and can be installed using either copper crimp rings (ASTM F1807) or stainless steel clamp connection methods. The adapter is certified to NSF/ANSI 61 and NSF 372 for lead-free compliance, and meets UPC, IPC, and cUPC requirements. It has a minimum working temperature of 33°F at 160 psi and a maximum working temperature of 200°F at 80 ps
