This SharkBite model UC280LF PEX Barb x Male NPT 90-degree elbow is constructed from lead-free dezincification-resistant (DZR) brass, designed for plumbing and hydronic heating applications. It features a 1/2 inch PEX barb inlet for connecting PEX tubing with copper crimp rings (ASTM F1807) or stainless steel clamp rings (ASTM F2098). The outlet is a 1/2 inch Male National Pipe Taper (MNPT) thread, allowing connection to a compatible female NPT threaded fitting or pipe, and providing a 90-degree change in flow direction. This fitting is certified for potable water systems, meeting NSF/ANSI 61 and NSF/ANSI 14 standards, and complies with federal lead-free plumbing regulations. It is rated for temperatures from 33°F at 160 psi to 200°F at 80 ps
