Product Overview
The SharkBite UIP514A is a lead-free push-to-connect cap designed for sealing PVC pipe lines. Constructed from DZR forged brass, this fitting is compatible with 1/2 inch Schedule 40, 80, and 120 PVC pipes. It enables quick installation without the need for soldering, clamps, unions, glue, or specialized tools, and can be installed on both wet and dry pipe. The cap is rated for pressures up to 200 PSI and temperatures up to 200°F (93°C). It can be easily removed using a PVC Disconnect Clip (sold separately) and is suitable for stub outs, pressure testing, and approved for underground and behind-the-wall applications, requiring wrapping for underground burial. This product complies with NSF 372 and NSF/ANSI 61 standard
