The SharkBite UIP518A push-to-connect PVC cap provides a quick and efficient method to cap off 3/4 inch IPS PVC pipe lines. Designed for use with Schedule 40, 80, and 120 PVC pipe, this fitting utilizes a DZR brass body for corrosion resistance, a stainless steel grab ring, and an EPDM O-ring to create a watertight seal without the need for soldering, clamps, unions, or glue. It is rated for continuous operating temperatures up to 200°F (93°C) and pressures up to 200 PSI. Installation can be performed on wet or dry lines, allowing for immediate pressure testing, and the cap can be easily removed using a PVC Disconnect Clip. This cap is certified to NSF 372 for lead-free compliance and NSF/ANSI 61 for contact with potable water, making it suitable for drinking water systems. It is also approved for underground and behind-the-wall applications, with wrapping required for underground buria
