The SharkBite UIP520A is a push-to-connect end cap engineered for quickly and efficiently terminating 1" IPS (Iron Pipe Size) PVC pipe lines. Constructed from lead-free dezincification resistant (DZR) brass, this fitting provides a secure connection without the need for soldering, clamps, unions, or glue. It is compatible with Schedule 40, 80, and 120 PVC pipe and can be installed on both wet and dry lines. Rated for up to 200 PSI and 200°F (93°C), this cap is suitable for potable water and hydronic heating applications. The fitting is removable using a PVC Disconnect Clip (sold separately) and is approved for exposed and underground installations, requiring wrapping for buried applications. It complies with NSF 372 and NSF/ANSI 61 standard
