Product Overview
The SharkBite Max UR22973 reducing ball valve provides flow control in plumbing systems, connecting 3/4 inch pipe to 1/2 inch pipe via push-to-connect fittings. Constructed from lead-free DZR brass, this quarter-turn valve features a chrome-plated brass ball, EPDM O-ring, stainless steel retainer, and PTFE seal ring. It is rated for a maximum working pressure of 250 PSI and a maximum temperature of 200°F (93°C). The push-to-connect design allows for installation on PEX, copper, CPVC, PE-RT, and HDPE (with stiffener) piping without soldering, crimping, or special tools, and can be installed on wet lines. It is certified lead-free to NSF/ANSI 372 and complies with ASME A112.4.14/CSA B125.14, NSF/ANSI 14, and NSF/ANSI/CAN 61 for potable water applications, recirculation, and hydronic heating/cooling. The valve can be rotated after installation and removed using a disconnect too
