Product Overview
For use with copper only. Slip fittings simplify repairs and connections by doing the job of two fittings and extra pipe. Only one end of the fitting's slip section has a stop, allowing the other end to slide further onto the end of a pipe. A small section of pipe is removed to install a slip fitting. Then push the long end of the fitting's slip section onto the pipe. Use a disconnect tool to press against the release collar on the long end of the fitting and at the same time, push the slip fitting onto the other pipe end to a depth of one inch. Certified and listed to ASSE 1061/NSF 61. Listed by IAPMO and are certified for potable and hydronic heating water distribution. Certified for underground applications and as a manufactured joint without access panels and they meet UPC and IPC requirements. Lead-free.
