The SharkBite UR334 is a 90-degree drop-ear elbow designed for plumbing applications, enabling a right-angle connection and secure mounting to a support surface. It features a push-to-connect inlet for 1/2-inch pipes and a 1/2-inch Female National Pipe Taper (FNPT) threaded outlet, commonly used for transitioning to fixtures like shower arms or tub spouts. Constructed from durable, lead-free DZR (Dezincification Resistant) brass, this fitting is compatible with various pipe types including Copper (K, L, M), PEX (ASTM F876/F877), CPVC, PE-RT, and HDPE SDR-9. It is rated for a maximum pressure of 200 PSI and a maximum temperature of 200°F (93°C). Installation is simplified as it requires no soldering, clamps, unions, or glue, and it can be installed on wet lines. The fitting is certified to NSF/ANSI 61, NSF/ANSI 372, ASSE 1061, UPC, IPC, and cUPC standards, and is approved for both potable water and hydronic heating systems, including underground and behind-the-wall installations without requiring access pane.
