Product Overview
With quality you can trust, these high-torque starters are engineered for demanding marine applications. Sierra offers remanufactured and new starters for specific marine applications. Each starter meets or exceeds marine engine manufacturer s specifications. In addition to meeting UL standards for ignition protection, these high-torque starters comply with international standards required by the European Community. Remanufactured starters have new solenoids, drives, bushings, brushes and springs and feature powder-coated bodies for greater corrosion resistance. Castings and bolt-holes line up perfectly to make installation straightforward. Sierra starters are available for standard (left hand) and reverse (right hand) rotation engines and they can be mounted in two ways. Front mount starters have the drive gear facing aft and spin opposite of the engine rotation. Rear mount starters have the drive gear facing forward and spin in the same direction as the engine.
