Industry leading fuel filter/water separator with metal bowl for engine room installation High-performance fuel injected engines require ultimate fuel filtration, water separation and maximum fuel flow. Sierra's new filter elements deliver all three of these critical performance factors. Regardless of how carefully fuel is handled contaminates that can damage sensitive engine parts get introduced. Ethanol-blended fuels increase the chances of water in fuel tanks, resulting in premature wear, poor performance and component damage. Contaminants of over 10 micron size also can cause severe damage with the close tolerance fuel pumps and injectors. Having a complete filtration system will increase the lifespan of sensitive fuel system and engine parts. Sierra fuel filter/water separator assemblies includes a filter element and bowl. The 7900-Series 10 micron filter eliminates harmful contaminants at over 90% efficiency, while removing over 99% of emulsified water. The included metal bowl provides meets ABYC and USCG heat tests and can be installed in engine rooms.
