BOSS 136 Firestop/Draft Sealant is ideal for use in residential construction in areas that require sealing to maintain the integrity of a firestop. BOSS 136 Firestop/Draft Sealant can be easily applied with a standard caulk gun, pneumatic pumping equipment, or a putty knife. It adheres to virtually any material, including wood, masonry, metal and plastic. It is red in color and applies like conventional caulk. This fireblocking material is a one-part, non combustible, general purpose fire-rated sealant that meets and exceeds the specifications for ASTM E-136 and conforms to all national building codes, including BOCA, CABO, SBCCI, ICBO, NFPA and the 2003 International Building Codes. It is one of the most versatile firestop products available in today's marketplace.
