Southwire model 6101 is a liquidtight flexible metallic conduit (LFMC) designed to protect electrical conductors in wet, damp, or harsh environments. It features a galvanized steel core for mechanical strength and corrosion resistance. The conduit has a durable PVC jacket that is abrasion, oil, heat, and sunlight (UV) resistant, providing a waterproof seal to prevent ingress of moisture, dust, dirt, chemicals, and physical damage. Its smooth interior facilitates easy wire pull-through. This 1/2 inch trade size conduit is supplied in a 100-foot coil and is suitable for direct burial applications. It is commonly utilized in industrial and commercial settings for motors, pumps, HVAC units, outdoor lighting, and in areas with high vibration or corrosive elements. The conduit has an inner diameter ranging from 0.622 to 0.642 inches and an outer diameter from 0.820 to 0.840 inches, with a minimum bending radius of 3.25 inches.
