Product Overview
This 1-inch CPVC (Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride) CTS 45-degree elbow with socket ends, manufactured by Spears Manufacturing Co. (MPN: 4117-010BC), is designed to change the direction of a piping run by 45 degrees. Constructed from CPVC, it is suitable for hot and cold potable water distribution systems, as well as various industrial fluid handling applications. The Copper Tube Size (CTS) designation ensures compatibility with piping systems designed to match copper tubing dimensions. Its socket ends are intended for permanent connection via solvent cementing, creating a secure, leak-proof joint. CPVC material provides excellent resistance to corrosion, scaling, pitting, and chemical attack. This fitting has a continuous working pressure rating of 100 psi at 180°F (82°C) and typically complies with ASTM D2846 for hot and cold water distribution systems, often meeting NSF/ANSI 14 and NSF/ANSI 61 for potable water application
