The Spears Manufacturing Co. 4135-005SS (TFS-0500) EverTUFF series transition adapter connects 1/2 inch CPVC Copper Tube Size (CTS) solvent-weld piping to 1/2 inch Female Iron Pipe Thread (FIPT) connections. Constructed with a CPVC body and a 304 stainless steel FIPT end, this adapter features a unique molded design with an internal knurl and an EPDM O-ring for a reliable seal. A large stainless steel hex allows for easy connection to IPS (Iron Pipe Size) fittings. Designed for hot and cold potable water distribution systems, it is rated for up to 100 psi operating pressure at 180°F (400 psi at 73°F) and conforms to SDR 11 schedule. It meets/exceeds ASTM D2846 and ANSI standards, complies with Low-Lead plumbing laws, and is NSF/ANSI 61/372 certified. This tan-colored fitting is 25-50 Flame & Smoke Rated (water filled) and galvanically compatible with brass and copper in potable water system
