Product Overview
This 1/2 inch CPVC adapter, identified as Spears Manufacturing Co. RCM-0500-S (mfr code: 4136-005BC), is designed to connect CPVC piping systems to metal Female Iron Pipe (FIP) threaded fittings. It features a 1/2 inch Male Iron Pipe (MIP) thread on one end for a secure threaded connection and a CPVC socket end for solvent welding to CPVC pipe. Constructed from Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride (CPVC), this tan-colored adapter offers exceptional resistance to corrosion and chemicals. It is suitable for hot and cold potable water applications, with a continuous working pressure rating of 100 psi at 180°F and 400 psi at 73°F. The fitting conforms to ASTM D2846 and ASTM D1784 (cell classification 23447-B), and is NSF/ANSI 14 and 61 certified lead-free for safe use in drinking water system
